Blair Oaks is excited to announce it has received an extension of the Local Food for School (LFS) Grant to purchase and process 4 cattle for ground beef for the 2026-2027 school year. Falcon Country is home to many hard-working farmers and this is an exciting opportunity for Blair Oaks Schools to give back to the local community.
The LFS grant has already allowed Blair Oaks to expand both the menu and student experience by offerings such as: seasonal roasted vegetables, wilted lettuce, spaghetti squash, the King & Queen Crunch event, a bean snapping party, and local treats from guest speaker Brandt Schisler with Hickory Ridge Orchard.
