"Teachers in the Blair Oaks R-II School District welcomed students back to class on Monday.
"Superintendent Ben Meldrum said it has been an exciting first week in the district.
"'We have so much build-up and preparation, so to be able to see the kids come in and watch the learning start to take place and watch them see their teachers and their friends again, that's really what it's all about for us,' Meldrum said. "We love having the kids here."
"This year, the Falcons began their school year with less construction on campus than previous years.
"According to Meldrum, the district officially completed all renovations outlined in Phase Two of an ongoing expansion project this summer. Upgrades included the addition of a new weight room, agricultural building and more."
