Wardsville, MO – Blair Oaks R-II School District is excited to welcome Ryan Fick as the new activities director and assistant principal at Blair Oaks High School, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. Fick brings 27 years of coaching experience, including 17 years as the head boys basketball coach at Blair Oaks High School. During his previous time at Blair Oaks, he also served as activities director, assistant principal, and a physical education teacher. Most recently, he spent three years expanding his leadership experience as the head boys basketball coach and assistant activities director at Capital City High School in the Jefferson City School District.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Lincoln University and a master’s degree in school administration from William Woods University. Fick will succeed Clay Crouch, who has been promoted to building principal of Blair Oaks High School.

“I’m thrilled to return to Blair Oaks and help foster a culture of teamwork and strong leadership,” said Fick. “I look forward to collaborating with students, staff, and the community to continue building a positive and successful school environment.”

Superintendent Ben Meldrum added, “We are excited to welcome Ryan back to Blair Oaks. His experience, dedication, and leadership will be invaluable in his role as activities director and assistant principal. We look forward to seeing the impact he will have on our students and programs.”

Fick will officially begin his role on July 1, 2026. The district looks forward to his leadership as Blair Oaks High School continues to provide exceptional educational experiences and opportunities for every student.
