Schrimpf

Wardsville, MO – Blair Oaks R-II School District is proud to announce that Tyler Schrimpf has been named the next principal of Blair Oaks Intermediate School, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. Schrimpf will replace Tracey Burns, who recently accepted the position of Executive Director of Learning and Innovation at South Callaway R-II School District.

Schrimpf has taught with Blair Oaks School District for seven years, during which time he has served as a 6th and 7th grade math and science teacher. He began his career in education at Blair Oaks as a student teacher and has continued to serve the district ever since, demonstrating a strong commitment to the Falcon community.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Lincoln University and later completed both his Master’s and Specialist degrees in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

“I am excited to continue the culture of success at Blair Oaks Intermediate School,” said Schrimpf. “I look forward to supporting our teachers, building collaboration, maintaining high expectations, and ensuring every student feels supported and ready to succeed. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our staff, students, and families.”

Superintendent Ben Meldrum expressed confidence in Schrimpf’s leadership and commitment to the district. “Tyler has been an outstanding educator and leader within our district,” said Meldrum. “His strong relationships with students and staff, deep understanding of our system, and commitment to high-quality instruction make him an excellent choice to lead Blair Oaks Intermediate School. We are excited to see him continue to grow as a leader and build upon the great work already happening at BIS.”

The Blair Oaks School District looks forward to Schrimpf’s leadership and continued dedication to student success at the intermediate level.
